On Friday November 1, Telfair Academy Guild will host “A Whale of a Party” at the Jepson Center for the Arts in celebration of the exhibition, Summon the Sea! Contemporary Artists and Moby Dick. The cocktail party will be from 6-8 PM. Plans include seaworthy entertainment, culinary fare for seafarers and landlubbers, plus the opportunity to view the exhibition starring artist, Tristin Lowe’s fifty-two-foot whale, Mocha Dick.

General admission is $75 including 2 drink tickets. Patron tickets are $125 and include an open bar, reserved seating and a private curator tour at 5:30 PM. Tickets are available online at:

There will be an opportunity buy raffle tickets for two separate drawings: A “boat” themed wagon filled with fine wines or a relaxing sunset cruise including dinner with the Carefree Boat Club. Raffle tickets are $25 each and will be available for purchase at the September and October TAG meetings as well as at “A Whale of a Party”! Cash or check only purchases at meetings. Credit cards accepted at the event for the raffle.
