Dredging in Lagoon 45

Coastal Marine and Equipment, LLC began dredging Lagoon 45 in Oakridge this week, which is the second lagoon that has been dredged this year. Dredging is conducted in pre-determined lagoons when excessive build-up of sediment occurs, as a result of nearby water main ruptures, drainage pipe clogs, and/or erosion.

Gate Sod Replacement

This week, BrightView, in conjunction with GCR of the Lowcountry, replaced the St. Augustine turf at the Deer Creek Automatic Gate (located on McWhorter Drive) with New Empire Zoysia. The costs associated with the sod replacement are included within our landscape contract with BrightView to further enhance and improve the areas around the gates. The contractors will move to Moon River and Marshview Landing over the next couple of weeks.
