Sixteen unique pieces by 10 local artists will be auctioned off this week as Skidaway Audubon concludes is annual fundraising effort. The artists, most members of The Landings Art Association, lovingly painted 16 large wooden butterflies. Proceeds will be used to create habitat for monarch butterflies, whose numbers have declined 90 percent. The on-line auction begins 9 a.m. June 1 and ends June 11 at 5 p.m. at skidawayaudubon.org.
