Gray’s Reef National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council Meeting
April 30, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 4:15 pm
FreeThe public is invited to attend the Gray’s Reef Sanctuary Advisory Council (SAC) meeting at the Library Auditorium of the University of
Georgia’s Skidaway Institute of Oceanography.
This event is one of the two in-person meetings held each year and will discuss scientific information about the coastal area and research findings. We are very eager for the public to attend this event and there will be time allotted after the meeting to take public comments.
The council will receive reports about science activities and results. NOAA research scientist Dr. Jenni Stanley will give a presentation by about her work to characterize soundscapes in Gray’s Reef and three other national marine sanctuaries. Council member Bob Crimian from The Nature Conservancy will report on TNC’s recreational angler engagement project.
Public comments will be taken at approximately 4 p.m.
