FEMA is updating its Flood Insurance Rate Maps for the first time in a decade. These new maps take into account historical storm data, height above sea level, and other factors. The new maps go into effect August 16.

To make the learning curve a bit easier, The Landings Association has scheduled a drop-in Open House for August 7 from 2 to 5 p.m. in our administration building (600 Landings Way South). There will be no formal presentation, but during this time, you can stop by for a few minutes and chat with representatives from Ecological Planning Group as well as a flood insurance specialist to discuss what these changes might mean for you.
