Skidaway Resident: YesWe are a Senior Move Management company, with full real estate services, based in Savannah, GA. We help seniors organize, pack, and dispose of unwanted items through donations to charity, shipping to family members or arranging for antique auctions. Once the next home is purchased, we photograph and measure their furnishings and place them into a computerized floorplan so they will know what fits and what to leave behind. We price movers, meet them on moving day, and direct all furnishings to go as per the floorplan. At the end of the day, the beds are made, there are fresh towels in the baths, and the refrigerator is stocked. Their TV, stereo and computers are hooked up and their kitchen is fully assembled. Within 3 days, everything is in its place and artwork is hung. The next step is to ready the house they have just left for sale. We do landscaping, yard cleanup, planting, painting and small repairs. Once the house has the proper curb appeal, the house is staged with what is left behind. The interior is thoroughly cleaned, and we either list the property for sale, or coordinate with their Realtor to put the house on the market. We also provide “aging at home” solutions, such as floor planning, and project management for lowering of countertops and electrical outlets, widening of doorways, installation of grab bars, stair elevator chairs, etc. We re-stage their home before clients are released from rehab to create a safe environment that can accommodate walkers and/or wheel chairs. Our services are invaluable to individuals that cannot make a life transition alone, or who do not have family who can help for various reasons. They may have had physical, medical or cognitive issues and are unable to organize and implement a move. Our owner, Brooke Bass, is a Skidaway Island resident, and has been a Realtor assisting families move since 1985. Gracious Moves has been a satisfying and rewarding addition to our traditional real estate services. With senior clients, it is so much more than just listing and selling a home. It’s our customized service that makes this life transition seamless and stress free.
