Landings Harbor Parking Lot Project

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Public Works has been working hard on the parking lot project at Landings Harbor. This week we got to see firsthand how well the 26 new golf cart spaces worked. The result was a very organized row of parked golf carts compared to the past when golf carts would be parked everywhere and anywhere. The completed project will reconfigure portions of the lot which will add more parking spaces for cars too.

Mike Bousquet’s Retirement Party 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A grand time was had by all at Mike’s Retirement Party!  “The man, the myth, the legend” of the Landings Marinas returned looking great and relaxed. Retirement seems to be suiting him very well!  We had a terrific turnout of current and previous boaters, old and new friends, residents, and co-workers that have gotten to know Mike over the 38 years he had worked here. Everyone reminisced, shared stories and best wishes for Mike. This party could not have happened without everyone pitching in to make it a success. Thank you to Tim and TJ Hilliard for the chicken fingers, they were all gone in no time! Thank you to Erik Moeller for providing multiple kegs of beer for the celebration! Thank you to The Landings Sailing Club for bringing the wonderful cake with the personalized forklift, created by Ed Zimmer, as the centerpiece! Thank you to everyone else who brought amazing food to the party! It was quite the spread! Thank you to our Public Works Facilities Department for bringing and setting up the tents and tables! Mostly, thank you to all of you who came out to celebrate Mike! Mike called the morning after to let us know how truly thankful he was for the party! And we all know how much he doesn’t like having a fuss made over him!

Landings Harbor Storage   

Dry, wet, and jet ski storage are all full.  We will continue to maintain all wait lists. We are beginning to prepare for Phase Two of the Dry Rack Storage Project that will commence at the end of this year. To do so, we need to plan on where to place the boats that are currently in the racks that will be temporarily displaced.

Delegal Creek Marina

Operating hours   9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Daily

Delegal Creek has been unusually slow the past week. With kids going back to school and this uncomfortable heat there just hasn't been a lot of people going out, except for the anglers. Nothing slows them down.

A new thing at Delegal is that a signature from boaters will be required for fuel that is put on account.
