Renovation Resources

Welcome to the newly constructed Renovation Resources! As a new addition to Enews and The Landings Journal, this column will provide a monthly update to Landings residents on the progress of the Renovation program, ideas on home improvements, and announcements of upcoming special events.

The Renovation Committee has been busy this summer organizing our efforts to address desired renovation resources within our community. Since the Committee was formed this past spring, two resident and three Real Estate Agent focus groups have been conducted to assess the scope of this initiative and identify strategies for providing support and resources. With approximately 50 focus group attendees, specific elements were identified as being important to a successful renovation program. Some common recommendations collected by the Committee include:

• Create vision through online before/after photos of Landings renovations, online virtual staging, workshops, and home tours.
• Provide residents and prospective buyers with information for selecting contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
• Develop general cost analyses for renovation projects.
• Provide guidance for navigating the renovation process.

The Renovation Committee will be creating a strategic plan to incorporate these recommendations.  Residents will be informed through this column and other communications platforms on the Committee's progress.

It is the Committee’s hope that our residents will stay informed on the development of renovation resources and be inspired to undertake their own renovation projects.
