Deer Creek Village Gate Update

A transition is coming soon for the Deer Creek/Village Gate, marking the beginning of a phased project to improve all gates in the community.

As many residents know, the Deer Creek/Village Gate has experienced ongoing malfunctions since the system was struck by lightning in 2025. This damage affected several electronic components and caused intermittent failures that have required hands‑on support. To keep traffic moving safely, The Landings Association’s Security Team has been staffing the gate as needed, especially during peak hours. Meanwhile, TLA’s Public Works Team has been working with our vendor to secure parts and schedule installations.

Recently, your Association has made key electronic improvements to stabilize the system, including replacing the damaged control panel and several ground loops. These upgrades have helped improve consistency, but there is more work to be done as the underlying system is nearing the end of its useful life.

To ensure long‑term reliability, a full, system replacement of the Deer Creek Village Gate is scheduled within the next couple of months. Once installed, this new gate will serve as a test model for additional gate replacements planned community-wide, helping TLA confirm performance before rolling out the next phases. The countdown is on, and we can’t wait to unveil this upgrade that will set the standard for the other gates in our community!

Thank you to all residents for your patience while we worked through gate issues at the Deer Creek/Village Gate. Please watch for Landings Association emails with more details on this project as they become available.
