Deer Creek/North Gate (located on McWhorter Drive) Closure

Beginning Tuesday, April 11, the entry lane at the Deer Creek/North Gate (located on McWhorter Drive) will be closed until April 13. During this closure, Remote Technology is scheduled to repair the damaged underground electrical lines that are causing intermittent power failures at the gate. Please note that the exit lane will remain open during this repair project. Thank you in advance for your patience and support as we work to restore this gate equipment back to a fully operational gatehouse.

Garden Club Presentation

On Wednesday, Public Works Director Sean Burgess presented at the Landings Garden Club Meeting that was held at The Messiah Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. The topic of the presentation was Skidaway Water (present and future), Too Much, Too Little? The presentation included the status of private wells for irrigation, the source of our potable water, and challenges confronting the community’s usage of water as The Landings approaches full build-out. Approximately 25 people were in attendance.

2023 Community Path Project

To date, Absolute Concrete has completed 500 linear feet of community path in The Village. As a reminder, these paths are located on TLA common property, thus falling under the maintenance and replacement responsibilities of The Landings Association. Barring any concrete plant and/or weather delays, this project is anticipated to be completed by mid-May.

2023 Road Replacement Project

Bennett Paving completed paving Wiley Bottom South this week. They are scheduled to repair the section of Yam Gandy Road (between Moss Hammock Lane to Cottenham Circle) that requires resurfacing due to a bad batch we received from the asphalt plant. As a reminder, the Association will not incur any additional expenses associated with the repaving of this section of Yam Gandy Road.

2023 Painting Project

Five Star Painting completed painting the exterior of the Delegal Marina Sunset Building this week. The contractor pressure washed and began painting The Landings Association Administration Building and is anticipated to be completed by mid-April.
