Landings Resident to Complete 48-Mile Ruck March for Mission 22
Landings resident Phillip Williams invites all interested residents to join him on a 48-Mile Ruck March in The Landings to benefit Mission 22 or consider donating to the cause.Â
Mission 22 is a national community supporting active service members, Veterans, and their family members through the three focus areas below.Â
- Support and Treatment Programs - For active service members, Veterans, and their family members, addressing Post-Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury, suicide risk, and other challenges.
- Social Impact -Â Â Uniting civilians and the military community to raise awareness of issues active service members, veterans, and their family members face.
- Memorials -Â Remembering and honoring service members and Veterans through large scale installations and digital initiatives, while raising awareness for issues faced on home soil.Â
"My wife recently passed away and I am filling my free time with good causes like this one to honor her and benefit veterans," Williams said. "I have a heart for my fellow veterans who are on the edge and I am taking on the 48 Mile Ruck March Challenge for Mission 22!"
Williams said many Landings residents already have reached out to offer their support as he takes on this challenge in honor of his wife's work in the local hearing-impaired community.Â
"Thank you to all the amazing Landings residents for your support," he said. "My wife would be as honored as I am."
