Landings Harbor Marina

It continues to be quieter during the week since most of the resident kids have gone back to school. We are now seeing normal boat activity on the weekends.

Marina Ship’s Store

Replenishments of some favorite hats have come in. It’s important to protect your head and eyes from the hot sun all while looking sharp.

Landings Sailing Club

The Landings Sailing Club had an incredible turnout for its Beer Can Sail/Social Event last Friday. More than 20 people participated in the race, and even more showed up for the social portion. This week, some of the members are practicing in preparation of their participation in a Rhodes 19 Regatta in Chicago.

Dry Storage

The Landings Harbor Marina dry, wet, and jet ski storage is at full capacity. We continue to maintain a waiting list for all slips.

Delegal Creek Marina
 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Daily

Staff replaced the primary and secondary fuel filters on the dispensers this week. The fuel filters are designed to capture any small particles from fuel before it reaches the boat fuel tanks. They also capture condensation moisture or water that may collect in the fuel tanks underground. Our goal is to provide the cleanest marine gasoline and diesel to our boating members and guests.

Delegal Creek Marina Underground Electrical Repair Project

Evans Electric began phase one of the underground electric repairs this week. The conduit under the dock is in good condition and will be reused for the new wiring. The cables have been removed from the conduit. There is an area where the underground conduit is metal that has failed. This was anticipated due to the ground water levels in the area the metal pipe is exposed to. There is also an area where the PVC conduit appears to be compromised. Evans will begin excavating to expose the conduit to make the necessary repairs prior to installing the new electrical cables.

Delegal Creek “Lost and Found”

There have been a few items found at Delegal creek that are waiting to be claimed. We have the "BAMA" hat mentioned previously, a newly found black "Riverdogs" hat, and a brown pair of Birkenstocks. All were found near the deck chairs and can be picked up in the office at the end of A Dock.
