Landings Harbor

Operating Hours 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday – Friday

8 a.m. to 8 pm., Saturday and Sunday

Landings Harbor Marina

It certainly felt like summertime in Savannah this past week with the “feels like” temperature in the 100’s and the humidity that comes with that. Saturday was particularly busy, with more than 160 boat moves completed. Sunday was a bit slower, with the threat of storms looming. Our team tidied the dockhand station and the bait room during the slower hours during the week. We said goodbye to our seasonal employees on Saturday with lunch to thank them for spending their summer with us.

Marina Store

The newest t-shirt with the nautical flags on the back has sold extremely well. Replenishments are on its way. In addition, there will be a new Coral Reef color t-shirt with our custom Skidaway Island/Landings Marinas map on the back and a Coastal Blue pocket t-shirt with the custom circle design, with LHM and DCM both represented, coming soon as well. We are excited to share that we have just ordered custom socks! They will be a “Landings” blue sock with Landings Harbor burgees on them. They will arrive in approximately 3-4 weeks.

Dry Storage

Landings Harbor wet, dry, and jet ski storage remain at 100% capacity. We have maximized the placement of the current boats occupying appropriate-sized slips and have made space for a couple T-top boats that have been on our waiting list.

The Landings Sailing Program

The Landings Sailing Club was not able to go out on the smaller Rhodes sailboats during the Beer Can Race last Friday due to higher winds than normal. The J-24’s did sail, and all had a fabulous time at the social portion of the event that evening. Saturday, July 31st, they participated in a Regatta that was organized by our club and included participation by the Skidaway Island Yacht Club.

The next Saturday classroom session will be August 21. The water session will be held the following Sunday, Tuesday, or Wednesday based on student and instructor availability, weather, and tides. Class size is limited to 10 students. For more information, contact Angela Margolit (973-296-8011 or amargolit@hotmail.com).

As the local schools start back, things have been a little bit quieter at the marina during the weekdays. On Sunday, our smaller forklift suffered a roller bearing failure and has since been out of commission. The replacement roller bearing is scheduled to arrive on Thursday. Thompson Forklift will schedule the forklifts quarterly maintenance to coincide with this repair. Please use the BoatCloud App to plan your boat movements request especially while we are down to one forklift.  We appreciate your patience and understanding.

The awning over our Fuel Dock is being replaced. The existing awning was removed by our team and the replacement frame is being constructed. The new fuel dock awning will be constructed of aluminum and will hold up better in the salt environment.

We do apologize for any inconvenience caused while we were out of ice for several days. Our vendor, Reddy Ice, is experiencing longer than anticipated delays in deliveries due to their staffing shortages. Please feel free to call us at the office in advance to see if we do have ice. We anticipate a full freezer this weekend.

Marina Store

Hey, Landings Residents, if you find yourself taking a stroll by the marina and need a cold drink, ice cream or a snack? Only to realize you didn’t bring your wallet, no problem!  As a resident of The Landings, you can use your Landings Association account to purchase merchandise, snacks, ice cream and beverages at the Marina Ship’s Store.  If you are a property owner in the Landings, you have an account.  This is different from your Landings Club account used at TLC facilities such as the golf courses, fitness clubs and restaurants.  We will ask for your name and address to verify your account as we do not use the four-digit TLC member number you use for the Club accounts.  Your billing statement is usually sent out to you by email at the beginning of the month for any charges that you make at the marina Ship’s store. If you prefer to have a paper statement sent to you, please contact The Landings Association to set that up with Debbie Waterlander. With that said, often we do have your children come in and put items on your account. Please discuss with them any boundaries/limits you want to set for them to avoid any charges that are made using this account. If you have any issues, you can always contact us at the Marina Office (912-598-1901).

We will be having a SALE this weekend in the Marina Store! There will be solid discounts on onesie-twosie items, as-is and other merchandise! Stop by and check it out this Saturday and Sunday!

There was a fresh delivery of Leopold’s ice cream this week! That means you need to run and not walk to get your hands on the ever-popular Mint Chocolate Chip single serve cups! They never last long!

The adult-beverage fridge is full and has some new items. Our wine selection includes Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc. New beers include an IPA from Wild Leap Craft Brews, the summer collection from Sweetwater, Yuengling Golden and Dos Equis are always ice cold.

Dry Storage

Landings Harbor wet, dry, and jet ski storage slots are at 100% capacity.   We have maximized the placement of the current boats occupying appropriate-sized slips and have made space for a couple T-top boats that have been on our waiting list.

The Landings Sailing Program

The Landings Sailing Club is looking forward to the perfect weather predicted for this Friday’s Beer Can Race and Social Event. This event takes place every other Friday and is becoming more and more popular as the summer goes on. This is a fun event for spectators and sailors, so all are welcome.

The custom shirts made for The Landings Sailing Club have arrived.  Most are reserved already but there may be a few extra and we will put in a replenishment order based on further response to them. Any re-orders should not take nearly as long to get as this first go around.

Delegal Creek Marina

Summer operating Hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Delegal Creek Marina

Weekday traffic has slowed down as summer break winds down for most of the local schools. Delegal’s fuel system suffered an electrical issue that was discovered Saturday morning. We have been working diligently with our fuel contractors to get our system back online. The on-call service technician came in to assess the issue on Sunday but was unable to repair the electrical issue. A second contractor arrived Wednesday afternoon to assess the issue, he was unable to repair the issue since it requires a certified fuel system electrician to make the needed repairs.   We do expect to have the fuel system back in operation before the weekend. We apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused.

With our down time, the area surrounding our dumpster was cleaned out of all bulk trash. If you need to use the dumpster at the marina, please be sure the trash is placed inside the dumpster. As we all have experienced the wildlife that live within The Landings, they particularly enjoy rummaging through trash on the ground and can make quite a mess. Kayak racks were audited, two stand up paddleboards had been stored without our permission. They are now in the basement awaiting the owners to come in.
