Attend The MARKETPLACE on May 8  May 8 is going to be a great day around the island, as we all gather to help raise money for local charities, scholarships, and grants to special students. But we need you to attend and purchase all these great donated items! And for the first time ever, we will be accepting credit cards! Please mark your calendar now for this fun-filled day where quality items will be available for purchase, fun activities will be held for the kids to enjoy (face painting, magician, and other surprises), a food and member/cash bar will be available, and arts and crafts will be sold by your neighbors. Make a day of it! The MARKETPLACE will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Palmetto Club parking lot and is open to all. You don’t need to be a member of Landlovers to attend. Please join us on Thursday, May 20, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Palmetto Ballroom and Outdoor Pavilion for our Landlovers closing event. Ahhhh…to relive that special night many years ago. The 50s, 60s, 70s, or 80s? It does not matter! Dance the night away under the Mirror Ball at Landlovers’ Prom Night. The theme is The Do Over. Relive that golden time in high school dancing to all your high school favorites. Perhaps you skipped your prom. Now is your chance to attend! Pick your decade and dress to impress! If you have your original prom dress or tux, wear it. Or wear any Club-appropriate attire you like! Have your picture taken in the Prom Photo Arch as the King and Queen of the Prom, or gather your friends for a photo as the Prom Court. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and “spiked” punch from our Retro Punch Table in the outdoor pavilion, followed by a sensational three-course plated dinner in the ballroom. A Member Bar will be available. The cost for the Prom is $60 per person. There is a maximum of 10 guests per table. Parties of four or fewer will be seated together. All Landlovers members are welcomed to attend this event.
