The Chatham County-Savannah Metropolitan Planning Commission (MPC) will hold two virtual public meetings to discuss Plan 2040 the long-range Comprehensive Plan updates for Unincorporated Chatham County, and the cities of Savannah, Garden City, and Pooler.

The Comprehensive Plan is a guide for the short and long-term growth, redevelopment, and preservation of all of Chatham County. It reflects the community's values and goals and lays out strategies to achieve them. Plan 2040 is a five-year update of each community’s existing Comprehensive Plan that will be used by local officials as a guide to help make policy decisions regarding the community's growth and development.

These two virtual public meetings are a chance for the public to share thoughts and feedback about the future of each community. The public meetings will seek to gain feedback on housing, land use, quality of life, natural resources, transportation, and economic development.
