Diamond Causeway Bridge Inspection Scheduled for October 2-8 (9 p.m. to 6 a.m., daily)

Chatham County has informed The Landings Association that beginning October 2, a contractor of Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will be working overnight on the Diamond Causeway Bridge (Skidaway Narrows fixed bridge) conducting an annual inspection. The work will take place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., to allow for minimal impacts on traffic as during the work one lane of traffic will be closed. However, please expect and plan accordingly for delays if you will be out between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., when crews will be working.

The work should take four to six days to complete, which means it may run through October 8. The contractor will not work on Sunday, October 4.

Chatham County appreciates your patience as the contractor inspects the Diamond Causeway Bridge and performs any maintenance work necessary.
