Rumble Strips Removal Underway

Chatham County’s contractor, Peek Pavement and Marking, began grinding the rumble strips installed on Diamond Causeway, McWhorter Drive, and Green Island Road from the roadway on Thursday (December 12).
Weather permitting, the contractor plans to mobilize again this evening (December 13) to complete the work. If the contractor is unable to complete the work today, they may be able to work tomorrow (December 14) as their goal is to have the uninstall 100 percent completed no later than Monday (December 16).
