Recycling Center Suspension on October 28

Courtesy of Landings Public Works

As a reminder, the suspension of plastic and cardboard recycling at The Landings Recycling Center will begin on Monday, October 28. Please do not discard or leave any recyclables at the Center after Sunday, October 27 at 4 p.m.

Although the plastic and cardboard compactors will be removed from the Recycling Center by Atlantic Waste, the Salvation Army, Goodwill, and Boy Scout Aluminum Can collection sites still will be available for donation drop-offs. Additionally, the Chatham County Resource Conservation Education Center on Eisenhower Drive continues to receive certain materials. For more information on the items they collect, please visit their website (https://recycling.chathamcountyga.gov/RecyclingDropOff/Center).

The Association’s staff and Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Committee (R3) will be monitoring the Center during this transition.

We appreciate your support during this process. Stay tuned for additional communications on opportunities for volunteer involvement with the R3 Committee.
