The Savannah Golf Championship is rapidly approaching. In anticipation of this inaugural event, The Landings Club has prepared a few Frequently Asked Questions for your benefit.

Q. Where will I park if I was to drive by car?

A. Residents and Club members are encouraged to use their golf carts to access the tournament, but if you would like to drive your vehicle, parking will be available at the UGA Skidaway Institute of Oceanography at the northern end of McWhorter Drive. Regular shuttles to the front of the Deer Creek Clubhouse will take place every 30 minutes beginning at 7am. You must show a valid ID with a 31411-zip code to take advantage of the shuttle. Bike racks will be available at all cart corrals.

Q. Will there be any on-street parking in Deer Creek?

A. The only restricted parking will be on Shellwind Drive, Gray Heron Retreat and Deer Creek Drive. All other roads in the Deer Creek neighborhood will operate normally. Handicap parking will be available along Sedgewater Retreat but will be limited to a first come, first serve basis. Members needing wheelchair access, and with a Handicap Parking Permit prominently displayed on their vehicle, will be allowed to be dropped off at the Deer Creek Clubhouse main entrance.

Q. Where can I park if I arrive by golf cart?

A. There will be four designated cart corrals for golf cart parking surrounding the course. Click here to view the map of the designated cart corrals.

Q. Can I take my golf cart on the course?

A. No. If you wish to view the tournament in full, walking will be permitted. For those with low mobility, there will be a member-only area with food and beverage options behind the Deer Creek Clubhouse.

Q. Where can I get tickets for my friends before or during the tournament?

A. Extra tickets are available to purchase through your Club account for $5 for a daily pass or $12.50 for the week. Before the tournament begins, you may purchase tickets here or visit the member website under the ‘My Club’ tab and ‘Savannah Golf Championship.’ During the tournament, extra tickets may be purchased at the Main Gate but will not include The Landings Club member discount.

Q. If I live in Deer Creek, will I have a problem getting home?

A. No.

Q. Where can I see the tee sheets and pairings?

A. Tee sheets and pairings will be available at the main spectator entrance at the back of the Deer Creek range and in and around the Deer Creek Pro Shop.

Q. Will Deer Creek- a coastal grill be available for food service?

A. The last day to dine inside Deer Creek- a coastal grill before the tournament will be Friday, March 23 with card play unavailable during the tournament. A member-only area will be available behind the clubhouse with member charge bar and a special menu. Deer Creek Clubhouse will host players, families, caddies and guests on the Web.com Tour during this time and will be closed to members. Deer Creek Clubhouse will re-open Tuesday, April 3. The golf course will also be closed to membersduring this time.

Q. What food and beverage service will be available to members outside of Deer Creek?

A. Lunch:
• Oakridge Steak & Pub– all week
• Marshwood– Tuesday through Saturday
• Plantation The Southern Table– Wednesday through Saturday
    Dinner:
• Plantation The Southern Table– Monday through Saturday; buffet in the ballroom Wednesday from 5:30-8:30pm.
• Marshwood– Tuesday through Saturday
• Oakridge Steak & Pub– Monday, Thursday and Sunday

Q. Will food and beverage be available on the Deer Creek golf course? If so, where?

A. Yes! There will be a private, member-only area behind the Deer Creek Clubhouse with a member charge bar and special menu. There will also be cash only public concessions set up around the course.

Q. What other events will be taking place during the week associated with the tournament?

A. Schooner’s Cove – Eagles for EIGHT! Make sure to visit Schooner’s Cove on Deer Creek #5! A custom concessions menu will be available including Pimento Cheese Sandwiches, Egg Salad Sandwiches, Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Burgers and Hot Dogs, and more! Schooner’s Cove will also boast ‘Eagles for EIGHT!‘ Anytime an eagle is made on #5, there will be $1 draft beer available for EIGHT minutes. This is exclusive to Schooner’s Cove.

Monday: • Opening qualifier 7am Oakridge Course • Volunteer Appreciation Party 6pm Deer Creek (rain location Plantation Ballroom).

Tuesday: • Clinic in Ellis Square 12-1pm • Chatham Orthopaedic Associates Junior Clinic 4:30-6pm at Oakridge • Official Pro-Am Pairings Party 6:30pm at the Hyatt.

Wednesday: • Pro-Am beginning at 7:30am • Executive Women’s Clinic at 12pm in Morrell Park.

Thursday: • Opening Ceremonies 7am Main Spectator Entrance at the back of the Deer Creek Range • Round 1 begins at 7:30am • Savannah Chamber of Commerce Mixer 5:30-7:30pm.

Friday: • Round 2 begins at 7:10am • Food Fest Friday with Gaslight Group and La Famiglia Restaurant Group 11am at the Main Spectator Entrance at the back of the Deer Creek Range.

Saturday: • USO Day! Wear red, white or blue in support of the USO. • Round 3 begins at 8am.

Sunday: • Sunrise Service at hole #18 Deer Creek • Easter Sunday Celebration and Brunch provided by Metro Diner 11am at the Main Spectator Entrance at the back of the Deer Creek Range • Closing Ceremonies with Champagne toast at 6pm.

Q. What should I bring?

A. You are welcome to bring a chair, umbrella, sunscreen, etc. We ask that you bring bags that no larger than 6 x 6 x 6 and if possible, clear. Folding chairs are allowed as long as they are not lounge chairs. Please keep in mind we will likely experience rain. We strongly recommend you bring rain gear and plan accordingly. Your cell phone MUST be on SILENT or OFF if you are anywhere near play. This is EXTREMELY important!
