We are a referral-only, small animal oncology practice, offering specialty care in a multi-discipline specialty hospital. Having your loved one diagnosed with cancer can be a very overwhelming experience. Coastal Veterinary Oncology will work with your primary care veterinarian to develop a customized treatment plan based on you and your pet’s unique needs. As much time as needed will be dedicated to you and your family to ensure that you are comfortable with the treatment goals.
Our Practice
Dr. Daters and the staff of Coastal Veterinary Oncology are an experienced and compassionate team who specialize in diagnosing, staging, and developing treatment plans for dogs and cats who have been diagnosed with cancer.
Our staff consists a board-certified veterinary specialist in oncology as well as registered veterinary technicians and experienced nurses. The services we provide are unique from those found at primary health care veterinary clinics.
Our facility offers state-of-the-art medical equipment not found in any other facility in the coastal Georgia and South Carolina region. Our facility is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week with a veterinarian and staff on site at all times. We are directly involved in all of our patient’s treatment decisions every day that they are hospitalized.
We consider ourselves very fortunate to be asked to be a part of your patient’s health care team. We are happy to get involved and offer advice for ANY of your patients, including those who may not visit our facility. Feel free to call or email whenever you need an opinion on a blood test, cytology interpretation, biopsy interpretation, or with any other question you may have.
Dr. Andrew Daters
Dr. Daters has been practicing in Savannah, serving the coastal Georgia and South Carolina community since 2011. He received his undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA in 1997. He graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine with a Master’s Degree and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2004. After an internship at Colorado State University, he completed his residency training at Louisiana State University and became board certified in 2009. His interests and publications include bone tumors, canine lymphoma, and molecular genetics.
