Harley Ashbaugh, President, received his B.F.A. in Interior Design and a Minor in Furniture Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in 2002. During his studies he was awarded the prestigious Portfolio Scholarship from the College. Harley’s interest in design and woodworking began in early childhood, influenced by his father’s dedication to craftsmanship. Ashbaugh’s devotion and passion is paired with a solid business back ground, which he developed, while still in college, working for esteemed Intermarine Savannah. In 2003 Ashbaugh partnered with Architectural Woodworking and Design of Savannah, which he acquired as sole proprietor in 2009, and transformed the firm into AWD, one of the premiere design and woodworking companies in the South. AWD’s work is in places nationwide and his designs have been featured in a variety of Design and Lifestyle publications. Harley dedicates part of his time to support charitable organizations like the Humane Society and the annual “Smart Woman” Cancer Benefit.

East Coast Finishing is a faux finishing and refinishing company. Services include practical and progressive finishes such as Antique Glazing, Distressing, European & French Country Styles, Wood Graining, Textured Finishes, Brushed Faux Finishing, and Metal Leaf Gilding. Our services are performed on-site. Surfaces: Kitchen Cabinets, Staircases, Furniture, Trim, Walls, and Doors. It is possible to put a nice finish on laminate cabinets.
