Suspicious Incident

On Friday, April 26, Security responded to Highgate Lane for a report of juveniles knocking on doors and running away. The complainant advised that someone had banged on her front door, but when she went to see who it was, there was no one there. She called out and someone in the distance replied, but she did not get a view of them to provide a description. Security patrolled the surrounding areas but did not locate anyone. No further incidents were reported that evening. However, the following evening, the same resident reported another incident of kids in the area ding-dong-ditching. Security patrolled the area and found nothing unusual. Extra patrols were performed throughout the evening, and no further incidents were reported.

Disturbing the Peace

Security responded to a residence on Staysail Lane for a report of disturbing the peace on Saturday, April 27 at approximately 11:30 p.m. Upon arrival, Security witnessed several vehicles and golf carts parked in the area. Loud voices and music could be heard coming from the garage area and behind the house. The responding Officer made contact with the homeowner, who advised that he would subdue the noise and the gathering would end by midnight.

Traffic Safety

The Guardian Pro camera/LIDAR system remained on Landings Way North at Wiley Bottom Road. From April 24 -30, the system recorded 71 violations with the highest recorded speed being 50 MPH. Staff sent 37 courtesy notices for the last two weeks to those individuals who are recorded exceeding the posted speed limit.
