Landings Harbor Seawall Repairs

Dolan Yacht Services began making repairs to the seawall surrounding the basin. Several metal panels were damaged during Idalia. The metal panels are being replaced with vinyl panels that are better suited for saltwater applications. In 2024, additional panels will be replaced using the same vinyl panels.

Landings Harbor Storage

Dry, wet, and jet ski storage are currently full. We will continue to maintain all waiting lists.

We are preparing for Phase Two of the Dry Rack Storage Project that will commence at the end of this year. Occupancy levels may be slightly lower during Phase Two if additional rack space is needed to temporarily store boats while the scheduled rack building is replaced.

Main waterline repairs

Staff replaced a section of the two-inch main waterline on Wednesday and Thursday. The water to all the docks and the dockside restrooms were temporarily off during the repairs. A section of metal pipe was replaced with PVC to avoid future failure due to the salt environment that the lines are exposed too.

Delegal Creek Marina Receives Georgia Clean Marina Certification

Delegal Creek Marina applied to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources for the States Clean Marina Program in July 2023. The Georgia Clean Marina Program is a voluntary certification program allowing Coastal Georgia Marinas the opportunity to demonstrate their environmental stewardship through implementation of Clean Marina Best Management Practices (BMPs). Certified marinas will be eligible to fly the Georgia Clean Marina flag and use the logo in their advertising and promotional materials, signaling to the boating community their commitment to protecting coastal waterways. Representatives from GADNR coastal resources division, Georgia Marine Business Association, and UGA Marine Extension and Sea Grant presented staff with a certification and Clean Marina flag and certificate on Wednesday afternoon. Marinas Committee Members Mark Piven and Steve Terrio, along with TLA General Manager Karl Stephens also attended the ceremony.
