Hurricane Idalia Update - August 30 @ 10:30 a.m.
We already are seeing the effects of Hurricane Idalia in our area. Please stay inside and do not put yourself in danger. The Landings Association Public Works Department is onsite working to remove downed trees and debris and will remain onsite as long as conditions are safe to do so. At its 9 a.m. Briefing, Chatham Emergency Management Agency (CEMA) shared that Hurricane Dalia is moving quickly toward our area. We can expect to see rain up to three inches in some areas, 60 to 75 MPH tropical storm force winds with higher gusts in some areas, and the possibility of tornadoes. The largest impact to our area is expected between 5 and 10 p.m. There also the potential for localized flooding and power outages.

Things You Should Know
- The Landings Association is closed to walk-in traffic today (August 30). Staff are available online during normal business hours, as long as they have power. You can reach employees directly via phone and email. If you are not sure who to contact for assistance, please email your question to webmaster@landings.org. TLA will reevaluate after the storm to decide if the Association Office (600 Landings Way South) will open late tomorrow (August 31).
- Landings Harbor Marina, including the Harbor Store and Delegal Creek Marina is closed today (August 30). The Marinas will reevaluate after the storm to determine if they need to open late tomorrow (August 31).
- Landings Security will remain open 24 hours.
- Vendor admittance to the community is restricted to emergency services only today (August 30)
- The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport is still operating as normal. As weather conditions continue to evolve, it is prudent to regularly monitor your flight status. Click here to check Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport’s arrivals and departures.
- The Talmadge Bridge will close at 2 p.m. today (August 30)
