On the Waterfront
Landings Harbor Marina
Normal Operating Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Daily
Landings Harbor Dry Storage Project
Currently, the contractors are forming and installing the foundations for the new dry rack building. We have temporarily relocated the boats to unoccupied dry racks and on ground-level racks throughout the marina property. We anticipate phase one of the project to be completed before Memorial Day weekend.
Landings Harbor Bubbler Curtain Project
The Bubbler Curtain has been installed and operational for the past week. Upon visual observation, we can see that the water in the basin is clearer than before, meaning that less silt appears to be entering the basin. The Marinas staff, along with faculty from UGA Skidaway Oceanographic Institute, will monitor the system for a two-year period. We will be keeping a close eye on the surrounding marshes and recording any changes that may be caused by the bubbler curtain.
Landings Harbor Store
The new Landings Sailing Club solar shirts have arrived in both men’s and women’s styles. These are cool shirts to wear whether or not you are a member of The Landings Sailing Club. A new koozie design with the map and Landings burgee on it will help keep your drinks cold on a warm day. We have slim can and regular can sizes available. We also have a new neck gaiter with the same map design as the koozies. This is a stylish way to keep your neck from getting burned while out in the sun.
The Landings Sailing Club
This past weekend was the last of the Frostbite Races for this year. It was a beautiful day, and many members and most of our fleet participated. Friday, March 17 will be the first of the Beer Can Races for 2023. Members enjoy sailing and then gathering at The Dockside Bar after to socialize. Now is a great time to consider joining TLSC. For more information, email them (landingssailing@gmail.com) or find them on Facebook (The Landings Sailing Club).
Landings Harbor Storage
The dry slips are fully occupied currently. We are using a few open slips to temporarily house boats displaced while we work on the rack replacement project. The wet slips and jet ski spaces are 100% full. We continue to maintain a waiting list for all slips and will fill the slips as available.
Landings Dry Storage Activity
Delegal Creek Marina
Operating Hours 9 AM – 5 PM Daily
Kayak Rentals at Delegal Creek are a perfect way to explore the local area and experience the peaceful surroundings of Skidaway Island. Currents are strong, so plan your trip around the tides when possible.
Electrical repairs are being scheduled for the final panel to be installed at “B” Dock. New feeder lines will be installed to support the new distribution panel that supplies power to the wet slips. This work will interrupt the power on “B” Dock temporarily for a couple of days. Staff will inform all the resident boaters prior to the work being done.
