Hurricane Preparations

This week, we were focused on preparing the Marinas for Hurricane Ian. Staff have been sending notices to boaters regarding the operational status of the Marinas. Our team made sure the plugs were out on all dry storage boats and looked for issues that should be taken care of prior to the storm. Several boat owners removed their boats by trailer. We relocated the most vulnerable boats from the exposed upper racks to ground racks. As of Wednesday, the Marinas staff completed all pre-storm preparations. Final preparations were made Thursday, and operations at the Marinas ceased until after the storm cleared the area. The Marinas plan to be closed on Friday and most likely Saturday. We will be returning as soon as possible to return the Marinas operations back to normal.

50th Anniversary Grand Finale

The grand finale event was a huge success. Landings Harbor picnic area was buzzing with excitement! Delicious food was offered by a variety of food trucks, a fantastic band played, kids were jumping in the bounce house, kid’s faces got painted, horse drawn carriages strolled by, and everyone turned into a star in the photo booth!

Dry Rack Replacement Project

The Board of Directors has approved Phase One of the Dry Rack Replacement Project. This first phase will begin this year and be completed in the early months of 2023.

Marina Ship’s Store

We have gotten a lot of positive feedback on the new merchandise in the store. We will continue to do product updates weekly.

Landings Sailing Club

The Beer Can Race/Social Event was cancelled last Friday due to weather, and members came to help secure the sailboat fleet to weather the storm.

Dry Storage

The Landings Harbor Marina dry, wet, and jet ski storage is at full capacity. We continue to maintain a waiting list for all slips.
