Landings Harbor Marina

It was a gorgeous Memorial Weekend here at the Marina!  Our full-time staff, along with our seasonal crew, really stepped up to the plate and made sure we delivered first class service to all our boaters and residents.   We recorded over 400 boat moves alone from Saturday through Monday.   Our boat members graciously delivered some meals for our team so that they would stay energized during the busy weekend.   We started our summer hours this past weekend much to the delight of our boaters!   This allows them to bring their boats back after 5pm for us to get them stored back in their home slips.  We still have several boats coming back after hours, but it does help in alleviating some of the congestion in the basin due to the limited staging space.

Marina Store

We had robust sales in the store, everything from ice cream to apparel was selling.   We have our regulars that frequent the store (along with their pups) and we also have had several customers stop in that have not been in for a while.   We keep hearing positive things about the changes and new products we are carrying.   We now have custom neoprene sunglass straps and more Landings Marinas solar shirts in a variety of colors.

Tiki Hut

The finishing touches are being completed on the new bar top. The final step will be to oil the wood surfaces with a special UV protective to preserve the fine wood grain colors.

Landings Harbor Dredging Project

Repairs to the dredge’s steering system were completed Tuesday morning. The dredge crew continued dredging Thursday morning during low tide with concentrated efforts in the turning area in front of the dry storage launch docks and fuel dock.

Dry Storage

Landings Harbor dry slip, wet slip and jet ski storage is at 100% capacity.  We are keeping an up-to-date waiting list for those who need a place to keep their boat. Currently there are 35 residents on the waiting list requesting storage space for their vessels.

Jet Skis and Personal Watercraft (PWC)

The number of personal watercraft storage carts was increased from 14 to 17 in 2020. An additional purchase of storage carts has been ordered and were scheduled to arrive this week, bringing the total storage count number to 20. Due to current space constraints, this will be the maximum number of PWC storage available at this time. There are currently 19 PWC storage requests on the waiting list.

The Landings Sailing Club Program

The Landings Sailing Club has been actively adding members the last few months.   It appears that their race/social activities have been paying off. There will be the fifth Beer Can Race of the season this upcoming Friday.  Hopefully, Mother Nature will cooperate this time and let them go out on the water and sail before meeting back at the Tiki Hut (Dockside Bar) for socializing, food, and drinks. Sailing Club Membership levels have reach 35 with a goal of 50.

Delegal Creek Marina

Summer operating Hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Delegal Creek Marina

Staff saw a busy Memorial weekend with kayak rentals and several LHM boaters visiting the south end of the island for the holiday. A great deal of preparation went into ensuring sufficient fuel, ice, and beverages in anticipation of a busy boating weekend. Some transient traffic made their way in to stay at Delegal Creek to wait out the busy waterways, congested with smaller boats, before continuing their voyage to their summer homes.

Marina Occupancy

Delegal Creek Marina is at maximum occupancy. The staff is utilizing a waiting list for Landing’s property owners looking for accommodations for their vessels. We currently have a waiting list of ten Landings residents requesting slip space for their vessels.
