Georgia Governor Again Extends COVID-19 Executive Orders

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp has extended his Public Health State of Emergency through January 8, 2021. A second Executive Order, which extends COVID-19 restrictions also has been extended through January 8, 2021. This document calls for sheltering in place for high-risk individuals, allows for gatherings of no more than 50 persons in one location, and requires social distancing of at least six feet between persons.

Additionally, on November 30, Chatham County Chair Al Scott extended the local state of emergency for Chatham County. Click here to read the order.

Effective from 9 a.m. December 1 through midnight on December 30, the extended order requires wearing face masks or coverings in public places (unless specifically exempt due to health reasons) as well as any time persons gather in groups of 10 or more, and social distancing of at least six feet between persons. The order is applicable to all of Chatham County, including everyone within any governing authority's municipal limits. (This includes The Landings on Skidaway Island.)
