New Neighbors NewsÂ
The Landings’ New Neighbors Group? That is where I met my best friend! That is what you’ll hear most often about The Landings’ New Neighbors. The organization was founded in 1990 to help new residents become familiar with their new community and make new friends. That goal continues today, and when you ask former and current members, they all agree that New Neighbors has been wildly successful!Â
New Neighbors membership is a two-year term, and our membership rolls include several hundred members who hail from nearby, across the country, and around the globe. When you join New Neighbors, you will have the opportunity to participate in more than 35 activities. As you participate, you will get to know other members and begin forging the friendships that will last a lifetime. Annually, more than 80 members contribute their time and talent to plan and manage activities and events throughout the year. On June 1, the 2020-2021 New Neighbors Board began our official duties. Our President Debbie Barr recently emailed a letter to all current New Neighbors members explaining our approach to resuming activities. The Board, after many hours of determining the best approach for phasing in activities, agreed on the following solution. All outside activities, such as all golf groups, biking, fishing, walking groups, pickleball, and nature tours, can resume scheduling beginning on July 1. Please check the New Neighbors calendar for further details.Â
The New Neighbors Board is extremely excited and looking forward to welcoming new and current members back to our resuming activities in July.Â
