COVID-19 Testing on Skidaway Island Moved from June 3 to Thursday, May 28
The following message is courtesy of CEMA and the Coastal Health District
Chatham Emergency Management Agency (CEMA) and The Coastal Health District have moved COVID-19 testing on Skidaway Island from June 3 to Thursday, May 28. Testing will take place at Skidaway Island Presbyterian Church from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Skidaway Island residents. CEMA and the Coastal Health District apologize for any confusion caused by this date change. The mobile testing has become so popular it is necessary to increase the frequency from once a week, formerly on Wednesdays, to twice a week, now on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
To assist with possible high-traffic at this mobile testing location, Chatham County Police will be on hand the day of the event. Appointments are not necessary, but depending upon turnout, residents should expect long wait-times. To view a map rendering of the event layout, click here or view the photo below.
Governor Brian Kemp is urging all Georgians to get screened for COVID-19, even if you are not experiencing symptoms. In addition to contacting your primary care physician and The Coastal Health District’s Testing Call Center (912-230-9744), you also can get screened through Augusta University’s Health Express App prior to the May 28 mobile testing.
