Hospice Savannah’s 12th Annual Lecture Series to focus on Self Compassion
Hospice Savannah’s 12th Annual Lecture Series presented by St. Joseph’s/Candler Foundations explores the mental, spiritual, and physical stresses of being a professional or non-professional healthcare provider or caregiver.
Guest speakers are Dr. Michael Kearney, a native of Ireland and renowned palliative care physician, and his wife, psychologist Dr. Radhule Weininger.
The public is invited to enjoy coffee, pastries, and conversation centering on Care for the Caregiver: The Importance of Self-Compassion on Friday, January 31, 2020. The lecture is at 10:30 a.m. in the Eckburg Auditorium located at the rear of the Savannah Technical College campus (5717 White Bluff Road). There is no charge to attend, and no RSVP is necessary.
Physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical providers are invited to a talk on Promoting Healthcare Provider Resilience in an Era of Change the prior evening, January 30, 2020, between 6 and 8 p.m. at the Savannah Country Club (501 Wilmington Island Road).
