Suspicious Incidents

During the Kiwanis Chili Cook Off at Landings Harbor on Saturday, November 2, Security received a complaint of a gentleman urinating behind the port-o-potties and that he appeared to have been drinking. Security located the gentleman at one of the vendor tents. A supervisor for the vendor was contacted due to the person’s limited ability to speak English. The supervisor was very apologetic and assured the Officer no further issues would occur. A follow up with the vendor’s management was conducted, and they were placed on notice regarding any further unacceptable behavior.

Security and CCPD responded to Gossamer Lane on Sunday, November 3 for a report of a man lying in the road by the curb. Upon arrival, Officers found a man curled in the fetal position next to the curb. The man identified himself as a resident and stated that he had been out walking. He further advised that he had been drinking and must have decided to lay down and fell asleep. CCPD gave the man a ride back to his house.

On Monday, November 4, a resident on River Birch Lane contacted Security to report a missing package. She advised that she had ordered a rollaway bed, and it was to be delivered in late October. When she checked her email to see where the package was, she discovered that it already had been delivered on Friday, October 25. The resident advised that she believes the item was delivered to the wrong address due to the size of the box. She already had checked with her neighbors and contacted Amazon and FedEx regarding the incident.
