Marinas Update

We all know that Labor Day is considered the end of summer, but at the Marinas, there still are lots of activities to look forward to as we prepare to welcome fall.

Around this time of year, the temperature begins to decrease, the fish begin biting, and it’s the perfect time for picnics on the beach, a day trip to Hilton Head, and lunch or dinner at many of Savannah’s riverfront restaurants. Put your boat in the water, or make friends with someone who has a boat, and enjoy the beauty of our waterways.

Don’t forget about the Sunset Cruises and island exploring events that are provided by Bull River Cruises. We have seen a substantial increase in participants, as well as their friends and families, enjoying these adventures. Cruises will continue through the fall.

Occupancy continues to climb at both Marinas. As the demographics change on the island, I am seeing many new, young families buying boats and storing them with us. Even people who do not own a boat are visiting the Marinas and participating in waterfront activities. One of the best parts of my job is when I can help a resident get into boating for the first time and guide them along the way.

Transient guests continue to visit Delegal, and we are expecting this fall to be busy. The people who visit always are impressed with the Marinas and the island. Many of the guests are returning customers or referrals from residents.

Until next time, have a great month on the water!
