Anxiety Workshop to Be Held on Skidaway Island
Savannah and Hilton Head area residents can learn to eliminate worry and anxiety from their lives at upcoming workshops on August 7 and 8. The workshops will be held on Skidaway Island on August 7, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and on Hilton Head Island on August 8 from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
In the program, Unsubscribe from Anxiety, Savannah resident/international speaker/life coach David Stone will show participants how to take control of worrying thoughts, while still taking care of all those life challenges that need to be dealt with. Worry and anxiety are rampant in today’s society. They feel terrible, degrade health, finances, relationships, and quality of life without ever improving the situation. But according to David Stone, they do not have to be a fact of life and are, in fact, unconscious mental and emotional choices that have become habits that can be eliminated.
During the workshop Stone will show participants practical steps to overcome fear, anxiety, and worry, replacing those mental habits with better, more constructive ones, leading to peace of mind and a happier life.
Psychology Today has called it The Anxiety Epidemic, but “It’s only contagious if you allow it to be,” according to Stone. “There is no rule that says you must live with worry and self-doubt, and I encourage everyone to opt out of the myth that anxiety is a fact of life.”
Participants must pre-register, and full details can be found at www.i-fearless.com. Registration is $10 and 100 percent of proceeds go to The United Way.
