Road Curb Repair
In preparation for this year’s capital road project, Absolute Concrete began replacing damaged road curbing and gutters on Black Hawk Trail this week.
Nature Trail Backflow Preventer
Ace Development replaced the Nature Trail Bulkhead and Back Flow Preventers Project this week.
The Nature Trail Bulkhead and Back Flow Preventers are responsible for approximately 40% of the water runoff from the interior of the community. A failure of the bulkhead or backflow preventors could cause catastrophic damage to the infrastructure in the area and along Landings Way South and its surrounding streets.
Over the past few years, this system (which is original to the development of the community which were installed in the 1980s) has started to deteriorate due to saltwater intrusion and the additional stress and impact that hurricanes, tropical storms and extreme flooding events have caused on the system. This project was approved last year as part of the 2024 Capital Asset Management Plan and was funded through the Capital Reserves.
