Speed Limit on Landings' Community Paths

Thu, 01/09/2025

Did you know the speed limit on the community paths is 18 miles per hour? Do you know how fast your golf cart can travel and how fast you are going at any given time?

Don't worry. There are apps that can help determine your speed, such as Waze. To help you keep an eye on your speed, the Association recently installed two, digital speed signs that will display your speed on the paths. This way, you can begin to learn what is considered a safe speed to travel. One digital speed sign is located on the cart path on Landings Way South near Palmetto Club. The other speed sign is on Landings Way North near The Landings Dog Park.

Please note, even if you are traveling the speed limit on the community paths, you still must slow down and move to the side when passing pedestrians and cyclists, as they have the right-of-way. In practical terms, golf carts should provide at least a three-feet distance when passing pedestrians and cyclists. If the three-foot distance cannot be obtained, the golf cart should simply stop and allow the pedestrian or cyclist to safely pass.
