Vehicle Accident
On Wednesday, November 20, Security, Chatham County Police Department (CCPD), Chatham County Fire Department (CCFD), and Chatham Emergency Services (CES) responded to a single vehicle accident at the intersection of Diamond Causeway and Westcross Road. Another driver reported that the vehicle had been swerving all over the road and speeding prior to the accident. Upon confirming that the resident driver was not injured, CCPD placed him under arrest for driving under the influence.

On Monday, November 25, Security, CCPD, CCFD, and CES responded to an accident between a vehicle and a maintenance golf cart vehicle at the intersection of Shellwind Drive and Deer Creek Drive. The driver of the vehicle reported that he did not see the maintenance golf cart due to it not having the headlights on at the time of the incident. The driver of the maintenance golf cart was transported to the hospital for further treatment. A verbal warning was issued to the driver of the vehicle by CCPD .
Suspicious Incidents
On Friday, November 22, Security responded to Riding Lane for a report of two individuals knocking on a resident’s door and running off down the nearby community path. The resident has reported several instances of this occurring in the past, but the culprits remain unknown. No one else in the area has reported any issues. Â
On Thursday, November 28, Security responded to a report of a suspicious incident on Marsh Tower Lane. The resident advised that between 10 p.m. the previous night and 6 a.m. that morning, someone had vomited on her deck, patio, and an outside chair. The screen doors also were found open, although no entry was made into the home. A baseball cap also was left behind in one of the piles of vomit. No items were reported missing. The resident also reported a trespasser that she confronted two weeks prior, but it is unknown if the two events are linked.
Traffic Safety
The Guardian Pro camera/LIDAR system remained on Shellwind Drive at Sundew Road. Between November 20 and December 3, there were a total of 91 violations.

TLA Rules and Regulations Enforcement (sans Guardian Pro)
- One violation was issued to a resident for having an unregistered golf cart and operating a golf cart without a driver’s license.
- Two violations were issued to residents for not having their golf cart parked on a paved surface.
- One violation was issued to a vendor for not having logos on an RFID-equipped vehicle.
- Two violations were issued to vendors for not having safety cones.
- Five violations were issued to vendors for not having logos on RFID-equipped vehicles and not having safety cones.
