Landings Couples Golf Association

By Jane Golz

Beginning in January 2025, The Landings Golf and Athletic Club will include a fourth golf association specifically for couples. Running a number of competitions and socially-oriented events throughout the year, LCGA was formed after an overwhelming response to a couples tournament run by Carrie and Dave Montague.

“We thought people would be interested in a fun, ongoing competition that allowed people to meet other golfers,” said Carrie, “So many of us just don’t know each other.”

From June to November, more than 65 couples have been scheduling nine-hole, best net-ball matches with each other in “The HoneyBBs”, often followed by a drink or meal. The enthusiasm led them to approach the Club with the concept of expanding the HoneyBBs into a fully formed couples association. Events will include monthly Sunday afternoon nine and 18-hole events, a spring 18-hole Match Play Tournament, and a months-long, summer best-ball tournament.

To learn more or to join, Club Members will find a link to the LCGA website on the Club App.
