It won’t be long before you will be heading to Landings Harbor Picnic area for Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) Skidaway’s annual Oyster Roast and Pig Pickin'. This year it is Sunday, December 15 from 2 to 4 p.m.
What better way to spend a sunny fall afternoon around large tables topped with shucking knives, gloves and condiments ready to dig into the steaming oysters, clams and crab legs. The succulent flavor of these steamed crabs and mollusks splashing into every dish bringing you the taste of the sea.
The Bar-B-Que tent features mounds of ‘smoked to perfection’ pulled pork accompanied by homemade sides. You don’t want to miss slicing a piece of the succulent roasted whole pig to complement your meal. Complimentary beer, wine, and soft drinks will be available at the Tiki Bar.
What better way to enjoy our beautiful surroundings for an afternoon of eating, drinking, laughing, and enjoying the company of friends and neighbors. All funds raised at this event go to support CCA Georgia's mission to conserve aquatic habitats, serve as an advocate for the recreational angler, and promote a range of educational outreach.Â
