On the Security Scene
Accident
On Wednesday, October 16, Security, Chatham County Police Department (CCPD), and Chatham County Fire Department (CCFD) responded to the intersection of Westcross and Log Landing roads for a vehicle vs. golf cart accident. Upon arrival, Officers learned that the driver of the golf cart was traveling south on Pepper Bush Circle and did not stop at the stop sign. The driver of the vehicle tried to avoid the golf cart, but the side of his vehicle struck the golf cart causing the driver of the cart to be ejected. The driver of the golf cart did not require medical attention. He was cited by CCPD for failure to stop at a stop sign. The golf cart was towed off the scene by The Landings Golf Car Center.
Suspicious Incident
On Wednesday, October 16, Security responded to Riding Lane for a report of juveniles that were ding-dong ditching. The resident advised that the group rang his doorbell and ran off on the golf cart path near his residence. Security patrolled the area but was unable to locate the juveniles.
Traffic Safety
The Guardian Pro camera/LIDAR system was moved to Shellwind Drive at Sundew Road on October 15. Between October 17 and October 22, there were a total of 133 violations. At its regularly scheduled meeting on October 22, the Board of Directors approved a motion to suspend one resident’s membership privileges due to excessive speeding (62 MPH in a 30 MPH zone).

TLA Rules and Regulations Enforcement (sans Guardian Pro)
- There were 11 violations issued to residents and guests for overnight parking on the street.
- One violation was issued to a guest for parking on the grass.
- One violation was issued to a commercial vendor for not having logos on an RFID-equipped vehicle and not having safety cones.
