Chatham County Bulk Trash Collection Temporarily Suspended
Chatham County Public Works has informed The Landings Association that due to the large amount of storm debris created by Hurricane Helene, Bulk Trash collection countywide has been temporarily suspended.
County crews will be in The Landings this Friday (October 11) to continue picking up storm debris. However, crews will not collect Bulk Trash.
Due to the number of areas affected throughout the Southeastern United States, resources such as Grapple Trucks are not as readily available for response post-Hurricane Helene as they were during Hurricane Matthew. Therefore, debris collection will take some time. The County posts a daily schedule of the zones crews will be working on its social media sites. To view these daily postings, please visit the Chatham County, Georgia Government Facebook Page.
At the time of this email, the County does not know when it will reinstate Bulk Trash Collection. County crews thank you for your understanding and patience as they continue storm debris removal in the community.
