Social media trends come and go, but some capture the attention of kids and teens everywhere. One such trend currently making waves nationwide is the “door kick challenge.” This viral prank involves participants kicking the doors of unsuspecting neighbors or friends as hard as they can and then running away, often filming the act for online sharing.

While the challenge may seem harmless or funny to some, it can be startling and disruptive to those on the receiving end, especially if they are elderly or have health concerns. For young people, participating might feel like a way to join in on the latest craze, but it’s important to remember the potential consequences. From disturbing others to possible property damage, as well as the safety risks involved, it is best to just say no to this viral craze. Not to mention, the prank may have legal consequences, making it more serious than it might initially appear.

Being mindful of the impact our actions have on others’ well-being is crucial in maintaining a safe, respectful, and courteous community. Remember, kindness and respect are always in style, even when viral trends come and go.
