Road Curb Maintenance

Absolute Concrete replaced damaged road curbing (130 linear feet) on Anderson Court this week.

Lagoon Fish Stocking

In-house staff, in conjunction with Georgia Plantation Systems, stocked nine lagoons throughout the community with 300 12"-15" grass carp to provide an ecologically beneficial alternative to weed control rather than the use of chemicals. These were stocked at a rate of 15/surface acre and are especially effective to help control widgeon grass and spike rush.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Camellias installed in Tidewater Square

Thirty variations of camellias were planted in Tidewater Square this week. Protective fencing was placed around them until the plants are fully established. This installation is a pilot program that will be monitored by our Center Island Committee. Staff, committee members, and BrightView will monitor the success of the camellias and if they have a healthy, long-term growth. Additional like plantings will be installed in other areas of the community. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Onsite Demo of Tymco Street Sweepers

On Thursday, staff demoed two, Tymco street sweepers, which would replace one of our current units, an 11-year-old Tymco. The new Tymco units are designed for larger downfall volumes and would be used mostly on our high traffic primary roads within the community.
