The dry storage activities were highest this past Sunday before the small craft winds picked up keeping boater’s dockside throughout the week. Staff continued clearing the marsh wrack from the stormwater drains near the wash rack staging area. Coastal Marine & Equipment has brought in additional equipment to assist in removing the compacted marsh wrack between the floating docks and the seawall. We are attempting to increase the water depth under the dock sections so that they float freely throughout the daily tide fluctuations. Keeping the docks from contacting the basin bottom at low tide is extremely important in maintaining the life expectancy of the concrete docks.

Delegal Creek Marina

Normal Operating Hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Delegal Creek Marina should see an above average fall transient season according to our partners at Dockwa. Dockwa is a live reservation system used by boaters to make reservations on-the-fly, while traveling. This year, 67 transient reservations have been successfully booked through Dockwa with a net value of $7,137 in operational revenue. Dockmaster Kate Cram reports that the transient traffic and interest is picking up as the cooler temperatures in the North usher year around boaters to start the migration South in search of warmer weather.
