Bulk Trash Update and Yard Debris Clarification
Chatham County Public Works has announced it will resume Bulk Trash Pickup beginning tomorrow (November 1). The regular scheduled date for this collection in The Landings is the second Friday of the month. According to the announcement, this means Chatham County should pick up Bulk Trash in The Landings on November 8.
Additionally, The Landings Association (TLA) sent an email yesterday sharing that on November 1, the Yard Debris placement and tree removal Rules will be reinstated. The reinstatement of the Rules applies to new Yard Debris and the removal of trees not a part of the recent weather event.
TLA understands that post-Hurricane Helene there still are large amounts of debris in the community that has not yet been removed by Chatham County. We do not expect members to move this debris per TLA’s Rule that Yard Debris cannot be placed more than 48 hours before County pickup, and you will not receive a violation notice for storm debris awaiting County removal.Â
We apologize for any confusion caused by yesterday’s email. Thank you in advance for helping us maintain the beauty of The Landings, ensuring it remains a great place to live, work, and play!
