Help TLA Expand Vendor Survey Resource

Wed, 10/23/2024

Home renovation, landscaping, and other projects that require the assistance of professionals can be stressful. However, with a little research of The Landings Association’s Vendor Survey Book, you could save yourself tons of time and headaches.

For the past few years, The Landings Association has been collecting residents’ feedback on their experiences with various vendors. Although the Association does not endorse or recommend companies, this information is made available as a courtesy. The Vendor Book containing surveys of some local contractors submitted by Landings residents is available online. To view the book, visit The Landings Association’s website (www.landings.org/resources). You must be logged in with your username and password, then click  Restricted Resources > Vendor Book. Because the book is regularly updated as information continues to come in, the book doesn’t contain a table of contents. However, you easily can search the PDF document by clicking “Ctrl F” on a PC or “Comm F” on a Mac. This function opens a search box, and you can type in the type of service you are looking for (e.g., roofing, painting, electrical, interior design, etc.).

Ashley Clemmons, a Community Relations Representative with The Landings Association, said resident input on topics of renovation, remodeling, and home repairs is invaluable, and she encourages more residents to share their stories, both good and bad. She added that since COVID-19, TLA has not received many new vendor surveys, and she would like to see that change.

“Word of mouth truly is the best form of advertising, not to mention a great way to find out how pleased or displeased someone is with a particular contractor or vendor,” she said. “We encourage residents to help us further build this database that can serve as a source of information for all residents. Our department has designed a form that makes telling your story simple. It is short and doesn’t take much time to complete, but it is a very valuable tool.”

The Service Provider Rating Form is housed on the Association’s website (www.landings.org). Once logged on, click on Forms > Service Provider Rating.
