Post-Hurricane Helene Clean-up and Restoration

R&D Tree Service completed the contracted post-hurricane cleanup and tree removal within the community this week. Any remaining damaged and/or dangerous trees located on common property will be handled by staff. To date, roughly 175 trees have been removed. Once all damaged trees have been removed, staff will grind the remaining tree stumps.

Community Path Maintenance
Absolute Concrete is working on community path panel replacements on Ward Lane this week.

2024 Storm Drain Project
Southeast Pipe completed Area 1 of this year’s capital project and will begin working on Area 2 once approved by the Board of Directors this month.  

Utility Locating Course

Last week, Jose Trujillo & Chuck Bolen attended a comprehensive utility locating course in Montgomery, Alabama. The course included classroom and hands-on field training for the utility locating equipment the department purchased earlier this year. The hands-on training helped staff understand how to safely and accurately locate private underground utilities at our facilities.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oakridge Gazebo Bridge Repairs and Replacement

This week, staff, in conjunction with Absolute Concrete, began the repairs, replacements and necessary reinforcements of the elements of the Oakridge Gazebo Bridge this week (which is located along the community path between Log Landing to Hasleiter’s Retreat). Barring any delays, the bridge will reopen by Friday.
