On the Waterfront
Landings Harbor Marina
Normal Operating Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Staff secured the marina in advance of Hurricane Helene on Wednesday and Thursday. The storm passed through our area overnight Thursday and into Friday morning. The storm left large amounts of marsh wrack washed ashore at the marina and into the basin. A few trees fell near the mounds and at the entrance to the marina. There were a couple of boats that received minor damage after the mooring lines broke and the boats drifted out of the slips. The Ship Store's shingle roof was damaged along with the fish cleaning shack. The seawall received major damage to several panel sections and strong back whalers. The Marina reopened for business Saturday morning under generator power. Staff tackled the storm debris and started a major cleanup of the property that covered the next two days. Electrical power was restored late Tuesday afternoon and by Wednesday all marina systems were back online. Operations are gradually returning to normal as we work with our terrific staff that are still dealing with their homes and other interruptions caused by the storm. The cleanup around the property will continue into next week. We expect the building and seawall repairs will continue throughout the month.

Delegal Creek Marina staff secured the marina in advance of Hurricane Helene on Wednesday and Thursday. The storm passed through our area overnight Thursday and into Friday morning. Power was restored on Friday evening around 8 p.m. Sunday morning, the power outage lasted from 4:45 a.m. on Sunday until Noon on Monday. The loss of power resulted in inventory loss of perishable items in the Ship Store. Minor damage was done to a resident boat that broke free from its slip. Buoy #4 in Delegal Creek is missing along with the "No Wake” buoys near the docks. Further inspections will be conducted on the property as operations return to normal.
