Burglary

On Monday, September 23, at approximately 6 p.m., a resident on Brandenberry Road notified Security of a burglary. The resident stated she had left her home for approximately 10 minutes, and upon returning, her daughter witnessed a woman leaving her parents’ bedroom and run to the front door. The resident quickly checked her bedroom and found a significant amount of jewelry missing. The resident’s daughter was able to provide a description of the vehicle that the suspect was driving. Chatham County Police Department (CCPD) was notified. Upon searching the Aviligion camera system and the ABDi database, Officers identified a vehicle coming through the RFID lane that matched the description provided by the daughter. The information was provided to CCPD for their investigation. At approximately 11 p.m., CCPD notified Security that an arrest warrant had been issued for the suspect. It is unknown at this time if the suspect has been arrested.

Vandalism

On Saturday, September 21, Security responded to Creek Marsh Lane for a report of vandalism. The resident stated that the headlights on his vehicle had been damaged overnight. He advised that he had driven the vehicle to The Deck the previous evening and did not notice the damages until the morning, so he is unsure if the damage occurred at The Deck or at his residence. CCPD was notified and is investigating.
