Suspicious Incident

On Thursday, August 15, Security responded to Cotton Crossing West for a report of a suspicious incident. The complainant explained that someone had hammered a spike with a rope tied to it into her front lawn. She further explained that the rope was fed into the storm drain. The Officer inspected the area and noticed what resembled a dog leash hooked onto a stick with a blank red flag leading down into the storm drain. The Officer removed the rope from the storm drain and found nothing attached to the other end. Public Works was contacted to see if they knew anything about the situation. However, they had no knowledge of it.

A resident on Seawatch Drive reported a suspicious incident on Friday, August 16. The resident reported that, upon entering her garage that morning, all of her vehicle’s windows were down and the sunroof was open. She stated that she never drives with the windows down, so it was very unusual. The garage doors were closed, and she had not seen or heard anything unusual. At the time, she did not notice anything missing from the vehicle. It is unknown how the windows were rolled down and the sunroof left open. No signs of forced entry were observed.
